HakoForge SAS Passthrough
Bring 16 lanes of SAS3 out the back of your chassis.
The SAS Passthrough is a PCIe-slot bracket adapter that carries four internal Mini-SAS ports straight through to two external ports on a standard slot cover. Use it to hang a HakoForge chassis off an external HBA or RAID controller as a JBOD, or to route drives out of a host to an external enclosure, without hacking a cable through a case opening.
Features
Full 16i/16e passthrough — four SFF-8643 internal ports map to four SFF-8644 external ports.
Passive and protocol-agnostic — no active components, no firmware, nothing to configure. If your controller and cabling are SAS3 (12Gb/s), it passes SAS3; it's equally happy carrying SATA.
Standard slot bracket — occupies one full-height expansion slot position and mounts with the same screw as any add-in card. Works in any HakoForge chassis and any standard ATX-style case.
